LINKS!

I really like the website http://www.weather.gov/ because it has everything you need to know about weather. From satellite images to current weather in Eau Claire, you can find whatever you need to know!

Another website I really enjoy is http://www.accuweather.com/. They have detailed current weather for Eau Claire, and you can even get a monthly outlook of what the weather will be like. Some maps I find informative are the forecast maps, surface maps, and the satellite map.

http://www.weather.com/ is another great website, especially if you want a quick outlook of the current day and rest of the week. Very similar to accuweather.com, weather.com has really great descriptions of the current conditions in Eau Claire. They also have a variety of maps. My favorites are the satellite, doppler radar, and the current weather maps.

Another great site is Unisys. Like the above sites, there is a lot of good information, such as:
  • A very detailed Surface Data, which I really like because it shows basically everything you need to know including wind directions, precipitation, fronts, etc.
  • Also, the radar map is really cool. It shows precipitation so it could be easier to forecast where storms will hit and when. Also, it shows the wind direction correlated with the storms.
  • Finally, this is my Organizational Communication background coming in to play, but it's really awesome that they have the choice of an iPhone App where you can have the Unisys application on your phone. This shows that they are keeping updated with current technology and making it easier for the public to get weather information anytime they need/want it directly to their phone. Super cool!
